History and modernity go hand in hand at this shoreside San Diego island lodge. 1906 Lodge is a heritage hotel with a story to tell. Built at the turn of the century- as the name suggests- it has been restored and reimagined as a modern-day boutique inn. //Covid-19 Measures - 1906 Lodge Staff- Required- physical distancing- face coverings- gloves- frequent handwashing and ongoing Covid-19 employee training and guidance. Hand sanitizer and wipes available to staff. Staff temperature taken prior to clocking in- a high temperature detected individual is required to return home. - Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols- The high traffic areas including the lobby- front desk- kitchen- handrails- elevator controls- door handles- ice machine and light switches are all disinfected several times a day as a part of our routine cleaning. Guest rooms are disinfected prior to a new guest check-in. - Guest Rooms- To ensure safe clean guest rooms additional time is allowed staff to implement renewed cleaning practices. Reusable collateral has been removed. Removal and cleaning of towels and linens at the conclusion of each guest stay include all items- used and unused. Bed linens and laundry is washed at a high temperature. - Food Service- All food contact surfaces are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day. Handwashing station with soap and disposable towels available for staff. Dishes and serveware are sanitized at 161 degrees F. Table service by staff- mask and gloves required during food prep and presentation. - Guest Updates- Appropriate signage is prominently displayed at the property entrance and other strategic locations outlining proper face covering usage and current physical distancing practices in use throughout the property and City of Coronado.
