Hotel Ilio was first established in this natural paradise in 1959 and was the first boutique hotel on the Island of Elba. It is one of the most beautiful and enchanting hotels in Tuscany. The concept of "boutique hotel" is still little known in Italy. The term was first used in the United States to indicate a style of hospitality; the complete opposite of mass tourism in large hotels.
