The Hotel Cort is a boutique hotel that opened in Summer 2013 - Hotel Cort has 14 suites and 2 double rooms that can both be connected to a suite each offering 2 two-bedroom suites - With this almost all-suite concept it offers its guests the exclusive atmosphere and privacy of a private home making them feel being on an island on the island but yet in the sometimes busy center of town with all its boutiques -shops -restaurants -bars -museums and galeries and everything you would expect from a city trip - After a day at the beach -an excursion -shopping or cultural activities the guest can withdraw in their own suite and enjoy the vast offer of personalised in-room services or go up to the pool terrace and refresh in the rooftop pool and enjoy the sun - In winter Hotel Cort is ideal for a short-trip getting away from the Northern European grey sky to recharge batteries over a long weekend enjoying the Mediterranean blue sky on any of the many terraces -go shopping -dining and just relax in your suite - The building is 100 years old and originally used to be a bank - After a one-and-a-half year refurbishment the hotel has been designed by the Spanish interior designer Lazaro Rosa-Violan in a style that could be called modern country combining both Scandinavian and Mallorquin maritime elements - The design is rather maximilistic than minimalistic and makes you want to live in the Hotel than only stay - As opposed to the exclusive and tranquil atmosphere of the hotel its restaurant is a hip place to be in Palma with a large terrace around its famous olive tree where tourists and Mallorquins mingle having breakfast -lunch or dinner -enjoy the Spanish cafe culture or meet for drinks - The Cuisine is Mediterranean-Mallorquin and surprises by the quality of the local and regional ingredients and the passion they have been prepared with
