ORA HOTEL PRIORAT

A typical old -casa de pueblo- renovated and furnished in contemporary style on 4 floors. First and second floors with 6 rooms each -on the ground floor another room *adaptable for people with disabilities* a large living room with a fireplace and small intimate spaces with a collection of books on the Priorat. At the entrance -a cozy and informal reception area with an original map of the area. Downstairs -a kitchen with a large wooden table for sharing unique moments. A wine cellar with a rich selection of the regions wines and a small meeting or tasting room. Ora from the Latin Ora et labora -a name that goes back to the year 1194 A.D. when the monks founded the Cartoixa de Escaladei. The name is not meant to be a religious reference but a praise for peace - tranquility - awareness of time - the cycle of the seasons - respect for nature and psychophysical well-being. Ora hotel is born from the idea of presenting the Priorat to the traveler in an authentic and deep way as if he were a guest in the home of old friends -where he will find welcome - warmth - intimacy - respectful cordiality and a sense of peace. The desire to tell the story of an area unique in its landscape and mystical atmosphere -where time seems to stand still. A harsh -rugged land that nevertheless offers a feeling of serenity as well as wonderful wines. Serenity - personalised traits and great wines from the DOQ Piorat will be the focus of our oferta. The 13 rooms are named by elements or objects that have contributed and made the unique and beautiful Priorat landscape.
